Shades of the Past is a book originally published in 1985. Marsha C. Squires Magley compiled an 88 page book consisting of stories written by the pioneers of Cheyenne County, Kansas in 1932. 
In 2023 the Bird City Historical Association recreated this book and is making it available again.
